Cla$$war

Little bit of superhero action for today - this is a currently unpublished cover for Cla$$war from Com.x. It was intended for a trade collecting issues by writer Rob Williams and artist Travel Foreman, but I'm not sure if it'll ever see print. Cla$$war was really well received when first published, and both Rob and original artist the mighty Trev Hairsine currently both work for Marvel.....I think.....
Btw, one thing I should mention is that this piece was based around a sketch by Travel himself, so thanks to him for that...

How weird that the day I stumble onto your blog this is what the post is.

I guess he Was supposed to have hair after all.... I was split over whether American's head was completely shaven or whether he had a crew cut. Hairsine's drawings were very ambiguous about that.

All this time I thought the trade had been put out in late 04 or 05.

Hey Travel! I've edited the post to give you props - not sure you were aware but I was instructed to work from your original sketch. So thanks for that :)

Maybe the trade did come out? I've no idea.....

man, thats a sweet peice, i love the rendering on the white outfits you do, its always so well done.

the stuff on what you colored on the authority was amazing. you bring a great realistic sense to the superhero genre, but wihtout lookign too photographic.

anyway, rock on.
